Monthly guests come to us for all the ordinary reasons a month somewhere takes: relocating to the Saanich Peninsula or Victoria and house-hunting from a comfortable base; a renovation or insurance claim that has put the family out of the house; visiting professionals and crews working at the airport, the marine-science and aviation employers around it, or the hospital in Saanichton; family visiting for a new baby or a long recovery; and winter escapes from colder parts of the country.
What you get is a home rather than a hotel room. The Suite has two bedrooms with their own bathrooms plus a loft, a full kitchen, in-suite laundry and a patio. The Smart Home has four bedrooms with four private bathrooms, a kitchen that seats twelve, a home office, a gym and gigabit fibre — enough room for a family or a crew to work and live without getting in each other's way.
Both are self check-in, with parking at the door, and you are on a quiet farm road with a beach at the end of it. Sidney's grocery stores, pharmacies, cafés and the waterfront are five minutes away.
The monthly rate is a flat amount for the first nights plus one cleaning fee — a long way below the nightly price, and below our Airbnb monthly pricing too. Because you book direct there are no platform fees on top, and all taxes are included.
