Sidney is a walkable seaside town with a waterfront walkway, a fishing pier, cafés, restaurants and independent bookshops along Beacon Avenue, and the Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea aquarium. Boat and whale-watching tours leave from the waterfront, with the Gulf Islands on the horizon.

North Saanich wraps around it: farmland, forest trails at John Dean Provincial Park, and Pat Bay Beach, which is a two-minute walk from our door. Butchart Gardens is 15 minutes away in Brentwood Bay.

Not quite — we're a self-catering vacation rental, so breakfast isn't served. Each rental has a full kitchen, and Sidney's cafés are 5 minutes away.
